Moonstone and Blue Apatite Necklace - 'New Beginnings' collection

 Most of the Blue Apatite on the market is mined in Russia, Brazil and Madagascar. Additional variations come from is from Burma, and Mexico. Blue apatite is a "phosphate mineral" and was discovered in the 1700's. It is a 5 on the mohs scale, so it could scratch a little easier. This stone is also harder to polish sometimes needing a higher quality piece in order to be carved perfectly.
